See your life as a whole and discover where you want to move forward
Not every area of our life evolves at the same pace. Personal Vital, based on the Wheel of Life model, helps you observe dimensions such as money, health, relationships, family, leisure, personal development, work and environment in a structured way. Select the areas and elements you want to explore, compare your current and desired situation, and identify where the greatest distance lies between how you are and how you would like to be.
Much more than scoring eight areas
A traditional Wheel of Life usually asks something like:
That can be useful as a first snapshot. But an overall score does not always explain what lies behind it. You might rate your financial situation a 6 because:
- your income is not enough;
- you have too many expenses;
- your debts worry you;
- you are not saving;
- or you are unhappy with your investments.
These are completely different situations. That is why Personal Vital digs from the major life areas all the way down to the concrete elements that make them up.
An integral, more detailed view of your life
The report works with eight major personal areas:
The detailed report shows precisely these eight areas and the elements that make up each one.
8 areas. 40 elements. You decide where to look.
You do not need to assess everything in exactly the same way.
The platform lets you select the areas and elements you want to include. The model has 40 elements, spread across the eight major areas. In the current configuration, the project lets you build a personalised selection while respecting a minimum of 12 elements spread across at least 4 areas.
Selection of areas and elements (illustrative example generated with code).
This lets you use Personal Vital for a broad reflection on your whole life, or to focus on specific dimensions without reducing them to a single question.
You do not have to adapt your life to a fixed wheel. You can adapt the assessment to what you really want to explore.
From the overview to the detail
The logic of Personal Vital is:
That approach is what gives it a more integral or systemic character than a superficial Wheel of Life. It does not just ask:
“How is my life going?”
“Which areas shape my overall perception, and which concrete elements do I want to change?”
To move forward you need to know where you are and where you want to go
This is the methodological core of the report. Personal Vital itself describes the process as:
- 1knowing the current situation;
- 2defining where you want to get to;
- 3analysing the gap between the two states;
- 4understanding the factors that can help or hinder change;
- 5and then turning it into actions.
CURRENT STATE
How am I today?
DESIRED STATE
How do I want to be?
“Do I have a high or a low score?”
“How far is my current situation from the one I truly want?”
The same score can mean very different things
Let's picture two areas:
WORK
PERSONAL
The current rating is identical. The perceived priority is not. That is why comparing current and desired provides far more information than an isolated score.
A wheel to see the whole
The report uses a wheel/radar graphic that lets you observe all eight areas at once, comparing the current state with the desired state.
General wheel: eight areas, current versus desired state (illustrative example generated with code).
Where do the biggest differences seem to be between my current reality and the life I want to build?
And then, dig inside each area
Real life happens inside the areas. It is not enough to say «I want to improve my health». Personal Vital lets you go deeper:
HEALTH
WORK
PERSONAL
The detailed report graphically represents each of these elements against the desired state.
A wheel within the wheel
Detailed wheel: every element around the wheel, current versus desired (illustrative example generated with code).
The general wheel shows where to look. The detailed view helps you understand what may lie behind it.
Configure how you want to assess
The platform also lets you adapt some aspects of the project. For example:
Desired goal
You can decide whether or not to include a rating of the desired state.
Don't know / No answer
It can be enabled whenever it suits the assessment configuration.
Visual rating
A 1-to-10 scale accompanied by emoticons makes for an intuitive response.
Selection of areas and elements
It lets you build the specific content that will be part of the project.
Personal Vital has a common methodology, but it does not force every person or project to answer exactly the same wheel.
What each area explores
Money
How do you perceive your personal financial situation?
It does not aim to be a professional financial assessment. It helps identify how the person perceives this dimension of their life and how far it is from their desired situation.
Health
How do you perceive your habits and general state?
As with Wellbeing, we avoid any clinical claim here. Personal Vital captures a subjective self-rating, it does not make medical or psychological diagnoses.
Love
How do you experience your emotional relationships?
Since very personal matters can come up here, a particularly careful tone is used: this is self-reflection, not a moral evaluation of relationships.
Family
How do you perceive your closest relational world?
It lets you explore the perception of different relationships without automatically assuming that a low rating points to the cause or the responsibility of another person.
Leisure
What place do enjoyment and personal time have in your life?
It is not simply about knowing how much free time there is, but about reflecting on how that dimension is lived.
Personal
How do you perceive yourself in your own development?
This area has a self-perception focus and should not be presented as a clinical or psychological measurement.
Work
Work as a part of life, not as a job appraisal
Personal Vital is not a performance or organisational-climate assessment. Work appears because it is part of many people's lives. The question is «how do I experience this dimension of my life?», not «how does my company rate me?».
Environment
The place we live in is also part of our experience
It is a dimension many wheels of life simplify or omit entirely, and it helps broaden the view beyond internal personal aspects.
Personal Vital is not Wellbeing
This distinction matters because the two assessments can be confused. Two personal assessments. Two different questions.
Personal Vital
“How do I perceive the different areas of my life and where do I want to be?”
It takes a broad look at money, relationships, family, leisure, development, work, environment and health.
Wellbeing
“How are certain dimensions related to my wellbeing and habits?”
It goes deep specifically into nutrition, physical activity, sleep, stress, self-care, relationships and subjective wellbeing, risk habits and technology/sedentary behaviour.
Vital offers breadth. Wellbeing provides greater depth in dimensions specifically related to wellbeing.
Nor is it a workplace tool
Even though one of its areas is Work, Personal Vital belongs to the personal-development field. It is not designed to:
- assess performance;
- compare employees;
- select candidates;
- decide promotions;
- or classify people professionally.
The assessment focuses on how the person themselves perceives the different dimensions of their life.
From the perfect balance to real priorities
Here we avoid selling the classic idea that a «good life» needs every area at 10. That can be far too simplistic.
Not every area needs to have the same importance.
At certain moments a person may decide to give more attention to:
The goal is not to achieve a geometrically perfect wheel.
“What is important to me now, and how far is my reality from what I desire?”
This interpretation is far more consistent with a systemic approach.
From awareness to goals
The report itself lists among Personal Vital's contributions raising awareness, detecting imbalances, defining goals, follow-up, prioritisation and self-knowledge.
OBSERVE

REVIEW
What has changed?
The report should not stay a snapshot
Personal Vital can be used as a starting point for:
The report itself suggests that periodic assessments can be used to observe progress across different areas. The assessment can be repeated periodically to compare how things evolve.
What the report shows
A short, highly visual report designed so the person quickly sees where they are and where they feel they want to change.
Introduction and reflection framework
Explains the methodology and its use for awareness, goals, prioritisation and self-knowledge.
Overall score
Represents the eight major areas comparing current and desired state.
Detailed score
Descends to the concrete elements of each area and represents their respective gaps.
Where they are and where they feel they want to change: that is what the person sees at a glance.

Self-knowledge
Get a structured view of how you perceive different dimensions of your life.
Goal definition
Identify where the greatest distance lies from what you desire.
Personal coaching
Use the wheel and its elements as a starting point for development conversations.
Priority review

Change processes

Periodic reflection
Repeat the assessment when it makes sense to see how your priorities and perceptions change.
Your life cannot be summed up in a percentage
Personal Vital organises subjective perceptions to support reflection. It does not aim to:
- diagnose physical or mental health;
- assess the objective quality of a relationship;
- give financial advice;
- judge personal decisions;
- define which areas should matter to you;
- or determine what a «correct life» means.
Nor does a low result automatically mean there is a problem.
It may simply indicate that there is a distance between how you currently perceive that dimension and how you would like to live it.
